Von nah und fern

Back in 2017, we travelled to Berlin for a study trip. There we had the task and opportunity to film a short movie about two refugees. One was a former GDR citizen, the other a young man from Afghanistan. We talked with both of them about their journeys and motives and asked them more or less the same questions. They were both very open and let us hear things that we will never forget.

Social Media Schweizer Armee

In my position as social media manager in the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS), I have created many different types of content for the Swiss Army’s social media accounts. Image and video production, editing, graphic design, animations, UI/UX design, websites and even podcast management are part of my daily business. Social media tasks like monitoring and community management with followers as well as coordination with translation into four languages are also part of my job.

Fedli

The Fedli is a mountain cottage in the Bernese Oberland. My family and I rebuilt it a couple of years ago. We rent it out to people on Airbnb and also to friends. That’s why we decided to create a website with some useful information, like how to use the wood stove. A website always needs a design and logo, so I basically branded our family heirloom. I also had the opportunity to shoot an aerial view of the house and the surrounding area.

Charles Hofer SA

Charles Hofer SA is a Swiss company that distributes and sells fine spirits and wine. During my employment at Kyramarios GmbH, my tasks included maintaining, managing content and redesigning the company’s website. In addition to some print products, we produced two videos about the Ti’Punch Cup 2018 Swiss Finals, a competition about mixing and creating drinks.

Reverse

This short movie was the first film project I made during my studies to become a multimedia engineer at the Bern University of Applied Sciences. Together with two fellows students from my college and a lot of people who volunteered to help, we created some sort of dystopia mixed with personal daily struggles like getting up in the morning. The protagonist, on his way to work, realizes that everyone around him is… no spoilers! We also had to create all the logos ourselves, had to do some cover artwork, and a documentary that sums it all up.
